Behavioral Phenotyping Core Faculty

Louis Hagopian, Ph.D.
Louis Hagopian serves as a director of the Behavioral Phenotyping Core. He is a research scientist and Program Director of the Neurobehavioral Programs at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. This includes the Neurobehavioral Unit, which provides intensive inpatient treatment for individuals with intellectual disabilities, who exhibit self-injury, aggression, and other problem behavior. He is a Professor in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.



Cynthia F. Salorio, PhD, ABPP
Cynthia Salorio serves as a co-director of the Behavioral Phenotyping Core and director of its Neuropsychology component. She is an associate professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation and associate professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. As a neuropsychologist and research scientist in the Department of Neuropsychology, Dr. Salorio will provide neuropsychological consultation and direct neuropsychological services.



Keith J. Slifer, Ph.D.
Keith Slifer is core faculty. He is a professor in the departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Pediatrics at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSM), and is a medical staff affiliate of The Johns Hopkins Hospital. In addition, he directs the Pediatric Psychology Program for the Department of Behavioral Psychology at Kennedy Krieger.



Amy J. Bastian, Ph.D., PT
Amy Bastian is core faculty. She is the Chief Science Officer and director of the Motion Analysis Laboratory at Kennedy Krieger, as well as a professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins. She is an expert in movement disorders, and provides consultations regarding quantification of movement, as well as access to the expertise and facilities available through her laboratory.



Joshua Ewen, M.D.
Joshua Ewen is core faculty. He is a pediatric neurologist, developmentalist, and electroencephalographer. He is director of the Clinical Neurophysiology Clinic and Laboratory at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and an assistant professor in both the Department of Neurology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University.
